Regaliscious Birthday Wishes – Moxie Fab World Challenge: Beautiful Borders

There is a new World challenge that’s going on over at Moxie Fab World that I just couldn’t resist. It’s all about beautiful borders!

Here is one of the examples that was provided:

So pretty!!!

It took me a long time to figure out what would be innovative, and I finally came up with making the card itself out of borders. I purposely didn’t look at anybody’s creations because I didn’t want to take anyone’s idea. I used four borders from Tim Coffey and adhered them together and then folder them in half and that was my card! They look really cool because they aren’t flush with each other and there is some open space in between each of them. Because the red, blue, and copper colors were so rich, I tried to make sure that all of my embellishments were light. I dusted the flower with copper perfect pearls and also used the perfect pearls to change the color of the brad that’s holding the flower together. I also edged the sentiment with the perfect pearls. I used a dictionary page for the leaves and inked them with some vintage photo distress ink. I added a little red butterfly bauble to the wrinkly ribbon and a red gem to the sentiment.

Please let me know what you think! Make sure you head on over to Moxie Fab World and give it a go!!! Be blessed, kiesa
